How to read your BMI
| BMI | Category (WHO adults) |
|---|---|
| Below 18.5 | Underweight |
| 18.5 – 24.9 | Normal range |
| 25.0 – 29.9 | Overweight |
| 30.0 and above | Obesity |
BMI itself is sex-neutral; we also show a rough Devine ideal body weight that does use sex. Athletes and older adults can land outside the “expected” category — use this as one signal, not the whole story.
